“How I Live
Now” is a recent movie that is based of a popular tens book. It is somewhat similar
to Twilight and Harry potter, yet it has its own differences. Daisy, also the
main character, goes for the holidays to her relatives farmhouse. There she
originally wants to stay in her room listening to music, till she meets some
new friends and a extremely attractive future boyfriend. After that her summer becomes
more exiting and interactive. Till one day an atomic bomb explodes but the
teens only feel a wind of ashes. From then on the boys are separated from her
and her small cousin, who become determined to reunite later on.
What
is not so clear is what is the main audience of this movie? There are lots of gruesome
parts mining that only adults should watch it. But then it is a story of a
teenager aiming for teens maybe even younger ones too. The mood of the movies
is very dreamy yet thrilling at the same time, it could even be categorized as partially
horror. The author of this article gives in a clear way a summary of the movie
and a brief background. And towards the end he questions the audience of the
movie and gives his own opinionated answer. This means that overall, this
article was both informative yet with a concluding opinion, meaning it was an
affective essay for the readers.
