The massive effect of the typhoon in the Philippines made the World Vision team running on their feet. Many people have lost their homes and families through this tragic incident. More than 1.2 million people have been effected by this typhoon. One of the World Vision staff members from Roxas, Erna Tupaz, says "The typhoon totally destroyed our house. We're living with neighbors now. I can't do anything but to cry." Aaron Aspi, World Vision emergency specialist aid describes the typhoons' effect as a nightmare. The people stayed in the darkness beacon by a single candle until a ray of hope arose with the first glimpse of the sunlight. Although many people are desperate and somber due to this phenomena that ruined their community, they have looked to God for hope. As Meldred Matol, World Vision staff member from Leyte puts it , "As relief workers it's really to focus because our families are also affected. I hope God will give us strength to face what we see when we get there." The article ends unfinished.
Even though this article was a simply written one, it was not fully developed. In the beginning of the essay, the anonymous author states the current statues of the people in the Philippines. This was a fairly nice start because it told the readers directly what was happening in the Philippines after the storm. However the essay proceeds and it is then that the author places quotes of people from the World Vision team, which eventually lead to an end. This essay doesn't have a clear conclusion nor a clear thesis. It is vaguely written because the readers have a hard time to find the main idea of the article, which was never to find. Thus, the argument is not fully developed.
