In your book report about A Whole New Mind you definatel show some structural paterns which help the reader to understand. I could follow along well because I udnerstood what you were talking about in each part of the book repot. You did also fulfill all the requirements such as giving your opinion and saying whether you would recomend this book or not. What you could change a bit to make your essay better is to add a little bi more of interest. Now I know that book reports are not exactl interesting o write either but it is important to maintain your reader hooked. Maybe add interesting thoughts you had whilst reading it and surprising facts from the book. Overall you did a very ood job and on a scale from 1-10 I would give you a 7.
In your oher book report, Freakonomics you explain ver well who is the auhor and what the book is about in your introduction. I was interested b the part when ou were talkin about how teachers and other people cheat in order to get what they want. The sumo par was also captivating since it is information we do not usually hear. You made a good selection of what to include in our essay and I think that our examples were effective. What ou could do better next time if you were to rewite it is tat you could develop more some themes or take them out. Sometimes you just had one sentence about a thing and hen ou changed subjects which overall made your essay relatively long. I think you should sort out what information you choose to develop and take out the "fragments". You did a good job and I think that if you revised in order to catch coherence falalcies and the tips I gave ou it could get a lot better. I would give this a 7 also :)
